What we actually put in place
Multi-factor authentication on email and Microsoft 365, so a password found in a breach isn’t enough.
Filtering for the fake invoices, the “boss needs gift cards” notes, and the links that don’t go where they claim.
Office machines kept apart from guests, phones and the equipment that doesn’t need to see your files.
Copies of files, servers and Microsoft 365 that a scrambled computer can’t encrypt along with everything else.
If someone has clicked something, or paid an invoice that now looks wrong, ring us before you start deleting things. We’ll help you work out what was touched.
We won’t dress it up
You don’t need a security operations centre in another country to run a good local business. You need the basics done, someone watching the things that matter, and advice you can act on. If a control is there for a brochure and not for you, we won’t sell it.
Staff should feel all right asking “does this look real?”. That question has saved more businesses than any piece of software.
